is bullshit! the yellowbird was up at 6am but all it has been doing is making noise! birds don't wake up early to beat the breakfast crowd! now there's this other bird making some odd gurgling whistle O_O and then theres another one going -whooo-eey! and the ever vocal mynahs have just joined the choir.

the coming exams are depressing. seeing past year papers is depressing. because i can't answer them. in fact, the questions seem alien. i would probably find the answers scattered across the universe. advanced neurophysiology. is gonna kill me.
ocular disease too.
pharmacology too. unless i find a way to squeeze everything in.

this is depressing. i can't bring myself to do a last bit of revision before i sleep.
i hope tmr i get over this shock that Neurophysiology has given me and find some motivation to revise.

if it is one thing i can't stand, it is drama.

im quite surprised that my parents have taken to watching korean drama serials. even dad. watching korean dramas dubbed in chinese (reading the english subtitles, of course).
i cannot stand dramas. i cannot stand drama. why do people watch dramas? the plots are upsetting, the characters are irrational, and most of all, it is just a show!
and the thing about korean dramas is that they waste a lot of time! eg
A gets a call. A is informed that C has died.
B walks in and asks what has happened
A goes... 'C... C, he... he....at the beach...the beach'
B goes: 'C? C what? what's he doing at the beach?? C what????? is he dead of alive???'
A: he... he died!!!!!

walao eh. irritating u know. something that couldve taken 2 seconds to get over has taken 20 seconds. and 20 seconds of 'C...he.. he..' is SUPER ANNOYING! makes me want to burst into that scene, kill A and yell at C 'BOTH OF THEM HAVE DIED!' it would all be over in 5 seconds, probably.

backache ah backache. studying is very bad for my back. time to get started on ocular diseases. need to get a new pen. one pen lasted me one exam+ <1 semester. not bad!

went for a short jog/walk just now. tired. so tired. feel like agar. not yet jelly though.

i have a feeling all these diagnostic techniques that we keep practising on each other are gonna give me a lot of wrinkles in future. all the local anaesthesia, corneal scratches, bright lights, pulling of the lids (my poor poor eyelids i feel for u.)

the other day i was staring at the skin under my eyes and thinking how very thin it is. it is already so purple from the eyebags :( i imagine i would be a prime candidate for those under-eye fillers in a few years.
i could see the purple vessels just under the surface. and proceeded to press down on it to block the blood flow. hahahahahaha i don't know why i just have that urge everytime i see vessels! i just have to have to have to press down on it, then release the pressure and watch it refill with blood. hahahahahahahaha ok.

last week's dilation + BIO + slit lamp funduscopy nearly killed me. my eyelids felt so swollen after that session :( super photophobic and teary. phenylephrine's to blame. good thing recovery took less than half a day. and i don't have to repeat this next week.

yes i am still intrigued when i look at the fundus. red blood cells in the conjunctival capillaries are enough to amuse me. can u imagine my reaction when i see a fundus? slit lamp funduscopy with dilation is so much better than ophthalmoscopy. i have to remind myself it isnt a sightseeing tour!

i am so nerdy.
actually i feel like i need to put in more effort to prove to others that i'm not here to waste time, u know? because people tend to think i never take anything seriously cuz of the way i look and stuff. it's strange because the me that i see in myself is almost the total opposite of what others think. oh well. at times it is a good thing. other times it isnt.

i have just about squeezed the whole semester's worth of binocular vision notes into 2 A3-sized sheets of paper.

there are 3 things i want to get: a black bag. black jeans. and that black watch.
oh. that etude house glitter nail polish is quite good. the dark green one that looks like black but glitters green! i think it looks better than my lincoln park after dark OPI!
i really really really need a black pair of jeans though. bleh. but it is annoying cuz f21 makes them kind of short. technically thats not a big issue cuz i tuck them into my boots. but when im not wearing my boots i rather not have them stop in the middle of nowhere.

oh ya. i seem to be getting darker and darker! as in more tan. so annoying!

sleepy and hungry is all i feel.

i played enough sudoku to feel sleepy enough to not want to revise pharmacology. :(

saw 2 cataract surgeries today. i am bored of cataract surgeries.

i will try to wake up early tmr. get some revision done.

i was going to study for neurophysiology but im so tired. i thought i'd have the energy to do a last round of revision.

2 months back i learnt that the school switched off the air-conditioning in FC5 at 830pm.
yesterday i learnt that they switched off the lights at 1030pm.

i am so so so so so so tired.

im this close to proclaiming google is god. maybe even closer than that. before u know it we're gonna be living in a Matrix world Google created. some google engineer will hit 'enter' (or whatever) and the world will come to be. he types a lot more programming jargon into his supercomputer and voila there was night and day and plants and animals. blah blah blah and on the fifth day he will rest. cuz computer-aided stuff is so fast you don't need to wait till the 7th day to rest.


sometimes i can't tell if ive become a hypocrite or if im just good at psychology. hahahahaha maybe a little of both. perhaps that equals manipulative. but that word has such a negative implication. like i go around turning people against each other. it is a rather fine line.
or maybe im just thinking too much. yea.


stupid fly has been hovering in front of my eyes recently. stupid thing. i got bathe la. and no it isnt a floater. it's one of those slow-flying insects. the kind u get around fruits, i suppose. so annoying!

the other day i saw a mosquito. it was your run of the mill mosquito with the banded legs. the only unsual thing was i saw it at 4pm!!! kind of early for it to be hunting, IMO!
the lizards arent doing their jobs right!!


i was listening to online lectures and realised the lecturer pronounced 'diagram' as 'diagram'. can hear the A! over here everyone just says die-gram. die-gram. hahahahaha ok. i suppose it should be diAgram, but who cares. i just find it amusing


i need another pair of black jeans. i thought i had 3. but 1 has faded so much it looks like blue. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee havent found me a new bag yet :(

exams in a month! shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! but one semester just flew past, didnt it? halfway through the programme! feels more like a crash course than a degree!

nothing much to say. i don't blog as frequently as i used to. went to cut and dye my hair with mum today. she seemed quite happy after that. cheap cheap.
somehow the new colour is exactly the same as my old one, even though it was supposed to be darker. aiyah. nvm la. i can't decide if my current colour is too light or too dark. when i look at it, it seems too light. when i look in the mirror, it seems alright. pfffft.

i should stop buying new tops.
i wanna get a new bag though. i just can't find -the- one!

test tmr and im going through my notes now. sometimes if i study too much i start to mix up the facts. sometimes it is good not to study too much.

oh ive been the Nanny on hallmark. thats the only nice show on hallmark la. they finish the whooole series, and then repeated from episode 1! the episode i watch the other day was poking fun at the English. something about emotions or expression. i have to agree! hahahaha my biggest complaint? i never know when they find something funny! like, u say something thats supposed to be funny. like HILARIOUS funny, or even HA-HA funny, but all u get out of them is a chuckle! a chuckle is like a 'H-' in my dictionary! not even a complete 'HA'!

today i found out spiders have blue blood! or was it transparent blood? maybe both.
yes, i googled 'spider blood'. it was an interesting read, but u know i really cant stand spiders.
i did kill one today though. where did i read that people eat an average of 8 spiders in their lifetimes? better keep your mouth shut! who knows what other nasty things crawl into your mouth while you sleep.
it was a tiny, rather transparent spider i killed. jjust its luck to crawl across my notes while im revising. i realised there wasnt much of a stain (it couldve been blue-ish, cldve been colourless. didnt bother to scrutinise). when i flattened it, so i decided to google spider blood. heh.

i remember i wondered about this quite a few years back too. i probably killed an insect that time. maybe it was one of those annoying flies that like to hover right in front of your face. sometime they zoom above people's heads. strange things. i was wondering why there was no red. no blood? didnt insects have blood? it was all quite intriguing. for 1minute. cuz i promptly forgot to find out why. did u notice ants don't have red blood either? good thing too, or this place might be covered in little red spots where i squashed those irksome critters.

ants have no lungs?!!?! seriously!??!

i need to go back to revising pharmacology.
